Pipe Jacking Association is one of the skilled and active associations in drilling industry that has the successful completion of many projects in its resume.
Participation in projects overseas has been an integral part of our program owing to technical and engineering capabilities.
Accordingly, with successful completion of the first phase of waste water collection in Masalli, the Pipe Jacking Association provided the employer and the contractor satisfaction and the second phase of the project is contracted at the request of Azerbaijani side.
It is worth noting, that in early September this year the second phase of the said project in Masalli started under Baku-Astara international road and is being implemented in 24, 30, 34 and 42 meter long distances by experiences and skilled team. The transmission of steel casing pipe with diameter of 250 and 300 mm has been also predicted.
It is a notable point that German experts were monitoring the process and the function of machine HS700B, involved in this project, reach their approval.
We should appreciate unsparing efforts and kindness of authorities and hardworking staffs of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran without whose support and favor the final agreement of the contract would be out of reach.

First phase of the project with the length of 36 meter long has been implemented, using equipped machine HS700B
First phase of the project under Baku-Astara international road is completed successfully before the predicted time with inexhaustible efforts of our staffs.
Fully automatic implementation of the project is the significant point that is of special importance with regard to the diameter of casing pipe used in this project. The speed and quality of the process provided the satisfaction of the Azerbaijani side.
It should be noted that this project in Baku-Astara transit road has been implemented using pipe jacking method. The application of equipped model HS700B is another significant point of the project. This model is improved by experienced engineers and experts of our association by considering the importance of the project and special geographical texture and landmass of the area.

Certainly, the capacity of exporting technology and technical and engineering services is one of the pillars of the development of an association. On the other hand there are countries in the vicinity of our country with remarkable economical and financial capacity that are growing and developing and they also have appropriate labor market in connection with construction activities. With regard to these facts participation in cross-bound projects is on our agenda and we have had significant participation in technical exhibitions in the fields of oil, gas, petrochemical, water and waste water in these countries in recent years.
Fortunately, in 22nd International Caspian exhibition in Baku in June, the preliminary stages of the contract for implementation of pipe jacking in one of the Azerbaijan’s developmental project was prepared by relying on our potency and technical and engineering capabilities.
In June this year, the final agreement was reached between Pipe Jacking Association and Azerbaijani side, one of the prominent contractors of Azerbaijan, with constant pursuit of manager of the Association and also unsparing assistance of authorities of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran.

Pipe jacking Association is one of the prominent and great association in Iran’s drilling industry. In addition to implementation of many executive projects of Iran our association has caused constant improvement of the quality and progression in pipe jacking industry with detailed planning, adequate contrivance as well as clear understanding of the situation of the industry.
Mr. Sattary Dizji director of the association stated that the achievement of the association is the outcome of concurrent efforts of the director, experts and staffs of the association. He added that consolidation and development of the association is tied to effective and creative actions. He also stated that in addition to building confidence and making known the indisputable advantages of pipe jacking we are seeking to evoke a positive image of our association.

The introduction of pipe jacking system and
its advantages
Pipe jacking has an ancient background. From thousands years ago Iranians used traditional pipe jacking system for drilling subterranean tunnels called qanats and even these days it is used in manual way at the bottom of wells in some houses.
In short, it should be noted that pipe jacking is mainly done in two ways, open trench and horizontal drilling or pipe jacking. Basically, the nature of open trench method is incompatible with environment and because of damage to road, infrastructure facilities, buildings, historical and religious places etc. this method result in complaints and discontent of citizens.
the said method not only prolong the time of implementation but also it is not economically affordable, and for the reasons mentioned pipe jacking technology has been replaced open trench method rapidly.
Pipe jacking is a technique used for installation of underground pipelines without disturbing on the ground facilities and without keeping the traffic shut. This method is used to install concrete pipes to drain sewage and urban waste water in different countries. The said method was used for the first time in late 1920s for installation of concrete pipes. Pipe jacking is a convenient and economical technique for short pipeline paths, distances about 150 meter long between places of installed jacks and transmission of pipelines under urban facilities, main roads, railways, weirs etc. this technique is more economical compare with open trench since there is no need to keep the traffic shut and less excavation needs and it is also safer because there is no need for open trench protection.
Today as a result of increase in buildings and urban facilities congestion, and traffic congestion caused by urbanization and population growth pipe jacking is an economical and convenient method and is also a suitable alternative of traditional methods for installing pipelines. Pipe jacking holds indisputable advantages such as speed, accuracy, lack of urban space occupation, no inconvenience to citizens and environmental compatibility that have made this method more and more important and put it in the spotlight.
